The formal agreement was signed by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, and Charl Barnard, CEO of Dynateq, on the sidelines of EURONAVAL 2024, an international maritime and naval defense exhibition taking place in Paris, concluding on 8th November. This strategic accord strengthens both companies’ presence in the defense sector, with a clear focus on elevating maritime security offerings.

David Massey highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating, “This agreement with Dynateq enables us to arm the RABDAN FA-400 with robust, high-performance firepower, aligning with our objective of delivering superior vessels to both local and global customers. This partnership represents a strategic step in preparing our fleet to meet the complex challenges of today’s maritime environment.” The RABDAN FA-400, ADSB’s latest fast-attack craft, represents the company’s commitment to pushing forward advanced defense capabilities, both regionally and globally.

Charl Barnard, CEO of Dynateq, expressed his confidence in the partnership, noting, “Our partnership with ADSB on the RABDAN FA-400 presents an excellent opportunity to showcase the precision and reliability of Dynateq’s gun systems in an advanced operational setting, underscoring our commitment to quality and performance. We are confident that our systems will add substantial capability to the RABDAN FA-400, supporting its mission success across a range of strategic applications.” Dynateq’s involvement brings an elevated level of technological precision and combat-readiness to the vessel, designed to operate effectively across various strategic maritime scenarios.

The RABDAN FA-400, outfitted with Dynateq’s main and side gun systems, will be publicly showcased at the upcoming Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX) in Abu Dhabi. The event, scheduled for 17-21 February 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, will serve as a platform for the international defense community to observe the capabilities of the RABDAN FA-400, alongside other cutting-edge naval technologies.

This collaboration underscores the UAE’s growing role in the global defense sector and highlights ADSB’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art maritime solutions. The partnership aligns with EDGE Group’s broader strategy of expanding the UAE’s defense manufacturing footprint, while fostering international partnerships that contribute to advancing defense technology.
